Career Services Coordinator
5730 S. Woodlawn Avenue, Room 403
Gözde Erdeniz is the career services coordinator for the MAPSS, Committee on International Relations and Computational Social Science programs. Several years into her doctoral studies in political science at Northwestern, she realized that she did not wish to pursue a career in academia, and had to go back to the drawing board to figure out her next steps. This experience pushed her to discover the wide range of career options that are available to social science graduate students.
Along with Shelly, she is committed to working with students in the MAPPS, CIR and Computation programs to help them identify and pursue professional opportunities that are best suited to their specific interests and skills. To that end, she curates a weekly digest of career opportunities for each program and prepares job search resources. She also works on career-related programming, including the career mentor-in-residence program and events specifically for international students. Don’t hesitate to stop by her office and introduce yourself, as she considers getting to know students to be one of the primary perks of her position.
