Professor Yu's lab aims to understand the neurophysiological mechanisms that enable the formation of knowledge from individual experiences. We use statistical, modeling and computational methods to analyze high dimensional time series data. These data include video, neural activity and environment sensors. By combining simultaneously recorded streams of high resolution behavioral and neural data, our goal is to derive simple principles from complex data.
